Pre-rolls are exploding in popularity Pre-rolls are the third largest product category in the US after Flower and Vape Pens. They’ve exploded in popularity since the start of 2022. When comparing the first eight months of 2023 to the previous year, US pre-roll sales increased by 13.4%, outperforming other categories like edibles or concentrates by a large amount. Pre-rolls are also capturing a significantly larger hare of total dispensary sales. In the US, pre-rolls captured 15.3% of total sales, up 32% from 11.6% in January 2022. National pre-roll brands are rapidly becoming a mainstay for consumers due to the familiarity and consistency.
